I am proud and happy to be able to set up an Artist Gallery to showcase some commendable and inspirational works. At this stage, I am not certain if I will populate these pages with submissions or I will just go out and find the inspirational artists that are out there.
Xavier is a (re)emerging artist who has spent the last many years hiding from his talents. Possessing of innate natural talents that were easily discernible at a very young age, he "gave up" his artistic pursuits in the chaotic world of growing up, facing challenges, and bringing up a family. And though he did try over the years to ignore his "calling" and despite many a person telling him he should at least indulge in some artistic endeavours, he is only now slowly but surely re-discovering his skills. His drawings, over a very short space of time show remarkable progress as he hones the skills that are naturally his.
This is an artist to look out for. He has a well of talent that is still untapped and as yet, unknown to himself. I for one look forward to his endeavours with hope and pride: my brother the artist.
Drawings displayed in reverse chronological order with the latest at the top. Click on images for larger drawings.
February 2010: Originally drawn specially for Sylvester but was sold. Replacement (another original) is in the works.
January 2010: A variant of the Baby & Teddy series. One piece only. (Sorry. No photos yet.)
December 2009: series commissioned by Gilletts. Unfortunately I do not have the entire series here nor the final framed versions. Apologies for the poor and dark quality of the images. I blame the camera and the photographer for that.
June 2009 - Starting again: preliminary draft drawings: "Sleepy Chubby " series and a SketchUp rendition by Alex
