Lava Pearl - Beaded Crochet Necklace

Lava Pearl (CC28)

A soft and drapable beaded crochet necklace with a large Lava stone as a focal pendant. Worked with Vintage Purple glass pearls and pale gold shimmer beads, it yields a burnished copper-gold shimmer. The necklace is very comfortable and soft. The necklace can be worn either side for a slightly different look as the "bail" is parallel bars on one side and "X"-crossed on the other. Ideal for a classy modern look on a special night out.

Lava gemstone
4mm glass pearls - vintage purple
6/0 translucent seed beads - light gold Iris
2mm AB bugle seed beads - pale gold
strong crochet thread - deep purple; as main stringing material for the necklace

Method in Brief

This is a variation of beaded crochet - each "stitch" is worked with [one 4mm bead+two bugle seed beads]. The bail and the main necklace rope is worked separately.
